Anne Porteous (MScN, EPC) is a Nursing Professor in the McMaster-Mohawk Conestoga Collaborative BScN Program. As a health care professional with over four decadesĀ of nursing experience, Anne has worked as a manager, consultant, and director of community based programs. Anne is a skilled educator and facilitator who works with her clients from a solution-focused perspective helping them to create actionable strategies for achieving specific goals in their personal and work life. Emphasis is placed on action, accountability, focusing on client directed solutions, and developing an awareness of the full present and future potential.
Committed to continuous learning, Anne has been able to combine her passion for nursing with her passion for horses by completing her diploma in Equine Science from the University of Guelph. Anne is certified through the Leadership Equine Assisted Development (LEAD) Program and has completed her certification through the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association [EAGALA]. In January 2015 Anne became a Solution-Focused Coach certified through Erikson College International. Anne is a sought after health care speaker who has presented to international audiences across Canada.
